Chapter 1: Bangkok revisited

Rule 1; avoid personalized means of transportation, especially taxicabs. Thus I ended up taking two buses, two metro trains, and a river boat from Bangkok airport to get to the area I stay in town. Above here is BTS, a nice and clean metro commuter's train in Bangkok. Video ad's and LCD displays that tell the next stop in every car. Who built it? Japanese, off course.

There on the river boat I meet Mr. Fujiwara, a veteran Japanese cinematographer who's just finishing his SE Asia tour. On his last night in Bangkok before he returns to Japan, he insists to go to Japanese dinner with me. He took this photo and emailed me. My first night of Rice Farm Tour 2008, on Khao san road, Banglumphoo January 31st, 2008. Arigatou Gozaimasu! (look what a wreck I am with the jetlag!)

My yet another new guitar echoes through the dindgy night of Bangramphoo alley.
